Fire Department collecting Toys & Food for 'Operation Deltona Cares'
This holiday season is a time when we gather with loved ones, enjoy delicious meals and celebrate the year gone by. Unfortunately, for those children without homes, food or family, this season can be a difficult time. Please join the Deltona Fire Department and Deltona Firefighters Foundation this holiday season in Operation Deltona Cares, the true spirit of the season.
Operation Deltona Cares Toy & Food Drive gives back to our local area children by providing food, toys, clothes and other necessities for children who may be struggling financially or facing other challenges during a difficult time of the year.
Here are ways you can help Operation Deltona Cares:
• Donate a new, unwrapped elementary age toy(s) for a child
• Donate non-perishable food items (canned goods, instant potatoes, canned fruit, etc.)
• Donate new elementary age clothes/uniforms
• Donate gift cards
• Give a monetary donation (checks payable to the Deltona Firefighters Foundation, a 501 c3, non-profit organization)
Drop off location (from now until Dec. 22): Deltona Fire Station #61, 1685 Providence Blvd.
For information, questions or to become a sponsor, please contact Lieutenant Robert Donaldson or Emma Santiago, (386) 575-6906.
