Beautify Deltona! Do your part!
City Manager Jane Shang believes that through partnerships and working together, we can make Deltona a place where residents want to be and a place where others want to come. She's developed a comprehensive plan intended to guide the City of Deltona's beautification of public spaces, neighborhoods and businesses working to develop Deltona's "Sense of Place."
The reason? Because a focus on beautification means existing businesses are proud to call Deltona home and other businesses will want to call Deltona home. The keys to the plan are improved solid waste services, an efficient sign ordinance, improved landscaping and beautification programs at City facilities and parks.
Last year our entryways were upgraded with paint and plantings and during the holidays City Hall became a shining example of what working together can produce. The City Manager has also identified areas throughout the City where simple landscape projects can be implemented to beautify our community, increase desirability of commercial and residential real estate. Her program is also meant to encourage residential home owners and business owners to invest in landscaping and the cleanup of their properties.
The benefit for residents is beautiful parks and common areas, an overall safer and more family-friendly City which fosters residential pride. Businesses will want to do business in a City where there employees find a great quality of life.
Spruce Up Deltona! happens every Spring in Deltona. During this important weekend, the City promotes encourages residents to get involved with their neighbors and clean up their yards, throw away unwanted items, paint the exteriors of their homes and plant flowers.
