The City of Deltona Kicks Off the Holidays with Lights and Music

The City of Deltona continues its holiday tradition of welcoming in the season with ornaments, lights, music and good cheer, on Wednesday December 6th at 6:00pm!

This year’s display at City Hall includes more than 10,000 blue and white lights, snowflakes, Santa’s workshop, toy soldiers, a giant sleigh, a giant reindeer and a 40-foot long train. “The master mind behind the layout and design is (Deltona resident) Jimmie Stone,” said Steve Moore, Parks & Recreation Director for the City of Deltona.

This year’s lights will be animated and set to music. Visitors will be able to listen on their radios and hear the holiday sounds synchronized with the light display. Moore said the Parks & Recreation staff have worked very hard to make Stone’s vision a reality. He added a special shout out to the Deltona Fire Department for handling the lights along City Hall’s high roof line.

The City will also be serving complementary hot chocolate and cookies for visitors who come to Light Up City Hall.
